Folding Chairs

I made this pair of outdoor folding chairs to replace a client's 1950s Hans Wegner pieces that had reached their end of life.

Part of the planning process was to improve on the original where possible and customize for outdoor specific use. The frame is solid teak, the cording uses outdoor specific rope and the hardware is marine grade stainless steel throughout. I also used a looped weave pattern to remove the need for rust prone metal anchors on each loop; a more labor intensive process, but the result was worth the extra time.
